A Tribute
to
Joan Marie Zamsky
Born: September 25, 1965
Died: October 5, 1991
Joan was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Ronald and Janet Zamsky. She
was the youngest of five children, having one sister and three brothers.
Her sister, Mary Catherine, is the eldest followed by her brothers Robert
Ronald, Michael Frederick, and Timothy Alfred.
Joan always had a smile and a warm heart. She always told me
she wanted a large family, but because of a history of heart problems,
she was afraid she would never have a child.
GOD knew how special Joan was, by blessing her on January 12,1989 with a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Amanda Marie was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The photograph above was taken on August 17,1991, 6 weeks before Joan passed away. Joan was 26 yrs old and Amanda was only 2 years 7 months old.
After Joan's death her parents adopted Amanda, who is now 12 years old. Joan's mother, Janet Zamsky, tells me that Amanda is doing very well in school. She is strong willed with quite a mind of her own. As I looked at the picture of Joan, my heart cried for my friend. We shared so many memories together at my wedding in 1986 of times when our families would get together and of school days. That was the last time Joan and I got together. We kept intouch writing every once in a while or keeping track of each other through our parents.
