"After graduation I attended UW Madison and then served in the US Army. I met my wife Janet while stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX and have been here ever since. I earned a couple of graduate degrees at the University of Texas and then moved to San Antonio. Janet and I have three sons, Jeremy a senior at UT San Antonio, Adam, a freshman at Texas A&M and Steven, a freshman at Rice University in Houston. Adam and Steven are twins. We have lived in San Antonio for the past twenty years. Currently I am superintendent of the Lackland Independent School District on Lackland Air Force Base. Our sons and I all enjoy running and I try to play as much golf as possible - we can play all winter - which explains why I never moved back to Wisconsin."Diane (Mancusi) Broughton '65

The youngest of my four sons, Josh, 17, will graduate from high school in June. Two of my older three sons live in Colorado: Erik, 31, and Ryan, 27. Kurt, 29, and his wife Krista live here in Reno. I have two grandsons: Bradley, 10, and Scotty, 9. After graduating from Tremper in June 1965, I attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and married in June 1966. My husband Wayne is in education. We enjoy golfing and traveling. I enjoyed seeing so many of the "kids" at our 30th class reunion. I'd love to hear from others who were in Tremper's first graduating class and any band or orchestra members."Phil Olsman '65 .

Christine was a friend of mine. We reconnected after 36 years via e-mail from this website in 2003. At that time she told me that she had breast cancer. After not hearing from her for several months, I stopped in to see her mother in Kenosha when I was there in the summer of 2004. Her mother told me that she had just died 2 weeks prior. To reconfirm this you may contact her brother, John, from the class of 1968. He lives in Santa Clara CA. Also, you might want to add her name to the deceased list for the class of 1966. Sincerely, Susan

Haven't seen you since BBYO days! How are you? Live in Ojai, CA now, having lived in Puerto Morelos, Yucatan, Mexico, south of Cancun, and in Divide, Colorado for 7-years. Prior to that, retired from Silicon Valley telecom in 2003. Been a Divemaster myself since 1968 and also began skydiving the same year. Became a USCG Licensed Master in 1992 and captained many N/S motoryacht runs on the Intracoastal and throughout the Bahamas with stops in Beaufort and all the other great eastern port cities. Now is as good a time as any to apologize for taking the Kenosha chapter Presidency from you way back when; after you worked so hard and were so deserving and I didn't know my a** from a hole in the ground. Hope this finds you and your loved ones well. Say hello! Very best to you!

"I have a hard time believing that its been forty years since graduating from Tremper. The journey has been extraordinary. After graduation I made a serious career choice error. Instead of accepting the offer from the then relatively new McDonald's corporation to go into management training at "Hamburger U" in Northbrook, Illinois (I had flipped burgers for two years while at Tremper), I elected to take the meager amount that I had saved and attend college. I had been awarded a music scholarship at North Central College in Naperville and between that, the savings and an NDEA loan (remember those) off to college I went. Lasted a year there (the total enrollment was less than a third of Tremper!) and moved to the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I graduated undergraduate school in 1970, married my wife, Cherie that summer and enrolled in law school and graduated from law school in 1973. Cherie and I have two daughters, Emily, now 31 and a foreign service officer in Bogota, Columbia, and Abigail, now 30, a program manager at the University of Wisconsin School of Business Executive Education program. We have lived in Evanston, Illinois, Salt Lake City, Utah (what stories I have to tell about living there!), Washington, D.C. (where both girls went to undergraduate school, and Emily went to law school); Palm Harbor, Florida; and now since 2002, Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The journey has been extremely interesting and unfortunately, all I had of my high school classmates was memories of band, Mrs. McKay's English Class, Physics with Glenn Schnuckel (and a state music contest saxophone duet), and Chemistry with Lenard Lyons (who managed to bore out the bunsen burner so we had a four foot flame!). My travels around the country gave me a wide array of experiences, but I lost touch with all of my high school classmates. I noted with great sadness that Steve Holt, Don Markese and Don Miles are not with us anymore. I have memories of each of them that are as vivid as yesterday. I even served as best man/photographer for Don Miles and his wife Susan when they eloped in 1970. Beth Garren was the maid of honor. I would enjoy catching up with the marelous people that made up the class of '66. Does anyone remember "Playland" and the padlocks? I think it made the front page of the Kenosha News. One of my co-conspirators was Don Miles. We probably should have been thrown out of school and actually I got very close when I set off the aerial bomb in the Courtyard the day before. Stanley Nosal caught me and turned me in to Mr. Augustus. Apparently I was destined to be a lawyer. I talked my way out of it. Although I have graying hair (I still have most of it) and my waist line is closer to my age than my hat size, I will hopefully be in attendance at the 40th reunion. I hope to see many of my memories there."

"By Oct.1966 I was on active duty A.F. I served in Okinawa, and Viet Nam (2) tours and finished active duty in July 1970 . I returned to Kenosha for only a short time afterwards. I married in 1971 and am happy to say still Happily married. We have three children and one Grand child.. God is good. I have been in the Restaurant business , all my life , it seems. I started selling Carvel Ice Cream on Sheridan Rd. at age 14 , next I delivered Pizza for the CasaCapri on Sheridan Rd. while i was in H.S. I did try other things to make a living . But they were either to much work, or not quite legal. Not really . I have been an independent contractor for Chick-fil-A for (22) years. I have two stores in McAllen Tx. You may have heard of McAllen TX. if you have folks that winter in Tx. We are all the way down on the Border with Mexico . I have enjoyed reading the news of classmates. It would be great to hear from some of our classmates wherever that might be . I do travel quite! a bit , as my daughters take care of the business almost completely, and my son has his own Chick-fil-A unit in Houston and preparing to open a new unit in Conroe Tx. soon . My family has all left the Kenosha area. I have two older sisters that graduated from Bradford a couple years before Tremper opened and a younger sister that was (4) years behind me in school, they have all moved from Kenosha over the years. as did my parents . My parents lived at 8015 15th ave. before retirement, when they moved north to live on lake , until my dad passed away in 1998 , afterwards my mother moved to Fl. to live near my oldest sister near Vero Beach. Well that my life story so far. I Hope that all who read this will consider me an old friend and look me up some time. God Bless All"

"After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville. In 1971 I married Wayne Miller ( Bradford 1962) I taught sixth grade at St. Mary Catholic School in Kenosha until I had my daughter Gretchen. My son Nathan was born in 1975 in Elgin, Illinois, while Wayne was finishing his degree. We have lived in Racine and then back in Kenosha for a while. In 1986 we moved to the lovely green state of Tennessee. We now live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which is the very center of the state. Wayne manages a Rent A Center in Franklin, Tennessee. I taught 8th grade English at a Catholic School in Nashville for eight years after we moved here. I then returned to school and got my masters in school administration. I am the principal of two smaller Catholic Schools in our area. My daughter is married and has three children. Nathan recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. I have many wonderful memories of Kenosha and especially Tremper High."Marc Jerome '66
"On May 14, 1969, I married Paulette Riebe ('67 graduate of Park High in Racine) in the LDS Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. We have three children: Paul, 24, Jennie, 23, and Clara, 19. We live in Provo, having left Racine, Wisconsin in October of 1983. Our son, Paul, went on a two year mission for the LDS Church in the Portland, Oregon area from 1995 to 1997. He is the only one married and is currently working for his Masters Degree in Business Management at the University of Utah. His wife, Lonni, received her Masters Degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University and is working for the accounting firm Ernst and Young in Salt Lake City. They have an ongoing 'friendly' college sports rivalry. Both of our daughters are attending Utah Valley Sate College where I work and Jennie will have her Bachelors Degree in Business Management this December. No grandchildren yet. Bummer! Since December, 1983 I have worked for Utah Valley State College in the Administrative Computer Services Department as a senior programmer/analyst responsible for the Human Resource System. Paulette has work the past 10 ½ years for the Provo Police Department in the Records Section. Prior to coming to UVSC, I worked for Montgomery Wards and Leader Store in Kenosha, 1967-1969; Racine Historical Museum and J. I. Case in Racine, 1969-1970, Racine Die Casting in Sturtevant, 1973-1974, the Office Supply Store in Racine, 1978-1980 and Jupiter Transportation in Kenosha, 1980-1983.I attended college full-time, first at UW-Parkside, from 1966-1967, Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, from 1970-1971, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah from 1971-1972 and finally UW-Parkside from 1975-1977. As far as hobbies go, I enjoy genealogy and 19th century military history, and hope someday in the future to complete my biographical book about a German-born American who served in the U. S. Infantry from 1853-1895, obtaining the rank of Captain just prior to the Yellowstone Expedition of 1876. We enjoy living out West. Our type of fun is going ghost town hunting and having picnics along the old Pony Express route or at Fort Bridger, Wyoming."

"I am a full time homemaker. My husband, Fred, of 31 years is also a Tremper 1965 graduate, has worked for Ameritech for 27 years. We have three grown sons, Rustin 28, Jace 26 and Jodin 24. Rustin is married and has two children, Christopher 8, and Autumn almost . We have five cats who sort of "found" us and stayed. I enjoy singing with Sweet Adelines Riverport Chorus and we enjoy traveling. We've gone to New Orleans, Nashville, and took Amtrak to Salt Lake City, enjoying every minute. This fall we're headed for Atlanta and next summer we're off to Austria. Fred and I will do the Amtrak thing again in 2001 when the chorus travels to Portland, Oregon. I'm involved with the planning of National Cancer Survivor's Day in Racine each year, and I read novels on the radio for vision impaired people."Neil Dan Pacetti '66

Sue (Weiner) Shepanek 67
Currently living in Beaufort, NC enjoying magnificent sunsets and million dollar views of the ocean from my front porch. Married and divorced (just once!!),grown kids in Raleigh and Charleston(SC). I'm teaching high school math at a pretty amazing school that sits on the IntraCoastal Waterway -it's small and the kids are all beach bums. When the waves are good the classrooms are empty! It seemed like a perfect place to finish my last few years before retirement. I'm an avid tennis player, love to kayak, and hope to get a little flat-bottom boat this spring. I'm a certified scuba diver and have also done a couple of sky dives. Totally insane - but by far the most exciting thing I've ever done! Since my parents left Kenosha I rarely get back there to visit. I'm hoping for a reunion soon. It's great to read everyone's stories and I hope more people will write!
Pamela (Dost) Arries '67
Rick Arries (1966) and I have been married since the fall of 67 and have been through Kenosha several times since we have graduated. We now live in SC where our son is a minister. Our daughter and husband moved down here with us in fall of 05 and it is nice to have all our family together again. We haven't seen a snowflake since we have moved here but do miss Lake Michigan. Kenosha's harbor has certainly changed but I don't think Simmons Island ever will. We have traveled and lived many places including Germany, thanks to the USAF. Lots of nice memories as we face "the Golden Years".

"I hope to see more of our classmates register on this web site. It is so nice to be able to catch up with old friends. I am living in Sunny California. I am working at San Diego State University as a Human Resources Manager. I have been there for a little more than eight years. I enjoy the campus atmosphere and of course, San Diego. My track record with marriage was dismal, therefore, I stopped playing. I am single and loving the independence. I still have a niece and a nephew in Kenosha. I do not get back there often as they prefer to visit California. I do plan a trip back to Kenosha for a family wedding next November."Linda (Marquissee) Matrise '67
"Just wondering who from Class of 1966 still remembers "Kressels"? Living in Milwaukee now, been in several different states in the past 10 years. I have 3 grown children & 4 grandsons. Been divorced for several years & never remarried. Would be great to hear from classmates & hear what has happened in the many years past."

"I was an AFS exchange student from New Zealand at Tremper in 66/67. After a wonderful year in the States I returned to New Zealand, went to college here, graduated in economics and political science and then went on to study law. Briefly I worked as a lawyer in my home town, Christchurch, during which time I also served on the local City Council. Then in 1978 I was elected a Member of the New Zealand Parliament, where I served for the next 18 years. Between 1984 and 1990 I was a Cabinet Minister, holding at various times the responsibilities of Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister of Health and Minister of Finance. In 1996 I retired from Parliament and returned to being a lawyer. I'm now a partner in the firm of Buddle Findlay, which is roughly the 4th largest law firm in New Zealand, with offices in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. I practice in both Christchurch and Wellington in the area we call "public law", ie anything to do with government.
On a different note, my family have just celebrated an unusual but joyous Christmas, because my host father Ray Fennema, has been in New Zealand with us. He's just gone back to the States last week. Some of your readers may remember the Fennema family: Mark, Jim and Tom all went to Tremper and Paul Fennema, I believe, now teaches there. I'd be delighted to hear from anyone in the class of 67, especially anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Greg Emery and Jim Staude, two of my old class mates with whom I'd love to get back in contact."

"I graduated from UW-Madison in '71 with a BS in Nursing. My husband John (from Silver Lake) and I were married in '70. We lived in El Paso, TX for 7 years, part of the time fulfilling our Army obligations. We lived in St. Louis, MO for 18 years and are now in Madison (Huntsville), AL where John is a systems analyst with the Army civil service. Our two sons, John and Gary still live in St. Louis. I have mainly a critical care background in nursing and am currently working in a busy cardiac catheterization lab at Huntsville Hospital. Most of my family is still in the Kenosha area and I love to visit them when possible."Peter Blaine '67
"I now live in Phoenix Arizona and work for a company out of Chicago that handles the book departments for a lot of the large stores out here. I come to Green Bay at least 3 times a year to visit my daughter and her two children. and have remained a steadfast Packer Fan!!! Have not been back to Kenosha in quite a while and am wondering if anyone else from my class lives out this way. I would like to start an Arizona Club like my wife did for her school in Indiana."Yvonne Hansche '67
"After graduating from Tremper I attended LaCrosse State University (as it was called back then). I dropped out my senior year to join the Army and see the world. I spent 10 years on Active duty and 3 in the Reserves. When I got out of the Army I returned to school (finally ready to buckle down) and received a degree in Computer Information Systems. During my two tours in Germany I used every opportunity that I could to travel throughout Europe. I saw may wonderful things and had many great adventures. My tour of duty at the Pentagon lead to my present job today. I work at the Pentagon for the Department of Defense as a Computer Programmer Analyst. I have enjoyed living in the D.C. area since 1977. One can find mountains and wilderness less than an hours drive away. From here I have enjoyed many moments spent hiking, camping, backpacking, and white water rafting. This area is also brimming with history and has many cultural events taking place all of the time. I find myself really having the best of all worlds. I am currently living in Manassas Va., about 50 minuets from downtown D.C. My household consists of 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 white mice. Never a dull moment! I only manage to get back to Kenosha once a year for 2 weeks at Christmas. But some years like this year, I do make a short summer trip home. I enjoyed my years at Tremper and have some great high school memories."

"I'm still alive after all these years to the surprise of many of you. I married my wife in 1970 ,and she still puts up with me . Kathy comes from Hayward. We have 2 boys &1 girl. We live in Kenosha and we started out in Key West FL. I was an air traffic controller, then moved to Kenosha to work for the Kenosha Water Dept. After about 13 years, I bought a semi truck and hit the road. After a few wrecks and a back broke in 2 places, I was put on disability. I spend my time reading my Bible, praying and walking. Thank you Jesus! I can walk up to 2 miles - 2 or 3 times a week. My wife and I are starting our 13th year working with the Tremper Golden Strings. My wife is the piano player and I do whatever Mr. Wells needs done. I love working with the kids. Kathy and I are known as "Ma and Pa" to the kids. "Displaced to California. Married (only once and currently) 25 years with two children in the university. Several career jobs culminating with engineering projects for physicists at a national laboratory, resulting in some travel. You can read a bit more about it if you visit http://rust.lbl.gov/~gtp which has a couple of travel photos . got the career I wanted...I did miss the quality music program Tremper had as we watched our children go through the orchestra program at the local high school. But... some music is better than none."Paul Forsberg '68

"My husband, Leif Smith, and I have a research and education business called Pattern Research. These days, I travel most of the year, conducting programs for workplaces on communications and productivity; my specialty is libraries and local government, but I work with everyone from large government agencies to self-employed artists. You can see more of our work at our web site at www.pattern.com. In 1999, I presented programs in 18 states, from Alaska to New York, but mostly west of the Mississippi. I visit Kenosha several times a year to check in with my mother, who still lives in town. Look forward to hearing from old high school friends."

"The store is open 24/7 if any of my classmates, ( or other Tremperets )would like to e mail me. I will respond. Who ever thought we would be this old? Love the Officer picture, and for a small fee I will not disseminate it to the general internet. The class of '69, what could be better than that, unless we all had the choice to be 25 again. Hope to hear from a lot of the '69 lunatics. If anyone has an e mail, phone number or address of Julie (later Roy ) Garcia please let me know. I recently spoke to Jim Pedley who is a reporter for the Kansas City Star. I will try to get his e mail, although I'm sure you could find it on yahoo under Jim's name. Best to all, Bill."

Hello out there, it has been awhile since I've checked this site, just an update on the e-mail adress. Wondering how the ladies are that I spent time with when we were young. All is good here, hard to believe that in a short time it will be forty years since we graduated, impossible, but true. Remember "69" was fine.

After living in Southern California for thirty five years, I have moved back to the Kenosha area (Pleasant Prairie).
After graduating from Annapolis in 1974, I ended up in California. Early on I worked in television production with Dick Clark. Later, I got into travel, and closed my own agency last year. It was located in West Hollywood. I am now attending Carthage College to get my masters in education and I plan on teaching high school spanish You can see my website at http://ipoe.blogspot.com

" I am living in the Houston area since 1981. I have 3 children - 2 boys and a girl. My sons are 24 and 26, my daughter is just 17. I have my own business - a technical drafting and graphics firm. I am involved in many projects throughout the country. My oldest son lives in Houston, is a structural designer and has a renowned group called Bickley, his name is Bill and they have 3 CD's. My second son lives in Hawaii and is in the electronics business with his dad. My daughter is a very popular teenager at Spring high school. She is on the debate team, honor society and golf team. I have made her high school experience as perfect as it could be and she loves every minute of it. She is on her way to ivy league college, Harvard or Yale and plans to be a (cough! cough!) lawyer. I sometimes miss Kenosha. But not since my dad died. My brother Bob (Butch) is still a bit actor in movies (Coal Fire, Kill me Again) etc. So you have a better chance of seeing him than me. My brother Mark died in 1986 in a surfing accident. My sister Mary is still in Kenosha and brother Bill is some where in the country following his daughter around the college circuit. My mom is in Kenosha, had heart surgery, but seems to be okay. I would love to hear from some of my old friends."Charlene (Bower) Morales'70 lives in Stow Ohio.

Gay (Belliveau) Koenemann '72
How lovely to read everybody's news. I'm astonished to see how many of us have left Kenosha over the past 35 years.
I left for good in '78 when I moved to NC (where my family had relocated some years earlier) and pursued a career as an interpreter for Deaf people; from there I moved to NJ, where I met my husband, finally finished college, got married, had two children--a girl, Nora, now 14 and a boy, Kai, 12 (late start!)--fiesty, full of life, smart, fun, challenging kids, and worked for the court system as an interprer. When my husband finished his doctoral work, we moved to VA for a short post-doc stint. After that we moved to Germany (my husband is German) where we've now been for nearly 10 years (Bonn area). I practiced (legal) interpretation for 20+ years but now teach English part-time. We own a 104 yr old house right on the Rhein River and have a huge garden, which--joyfully--consumes enormous amounts of time. I swim regularly and am an avid quilter and reader. My husband is a consultant and my kids crazy wonderful teenagers. We are members of a loving international church family and are very much enjoying our European lives. It would be great to see you all at a reunion! Be well!
Peady (Covelli) Sorensen '72
I have been asking around those who are still in Kenosha to see if we have a 35 year reunion planned for this year. No one has heard that anything has been planned as of 1-27-07. Is anyone taking this on? If not, who would like to plan the 35 year reunion? Do we have any takers? LuAnn (Kreusher) Maki said she has the names. I have the logo that says "Still Crazy After All These Years". I can be found at luvjeeping2@highstream.net.

Hi To All!! This is something 34 years later I'm still here. When I graduated in '72 it was a Friday, and I remeber the heat in the gym and how I couldn't wait to get out of that robe an square hat, boy was I sweating! On the following Monday I was supposed to be in Great Lakes, performing my duty as a Recruit in the Navy. If I can remember correctly I didn't get there till that Wednesday! HA! I am not going into that. Anyway, the Navy didn't last long got a medical/honorable, then re-enlisted into the U.S.M.C., but, during my time there the Marines found out that I was discharged from the Navy for medical reasons so they being the Dept. of the Navy discharged me again for the same reasons, so I have two medical discharges, Honorable. Boy was I disappointed, I went down hill for quite a few years after that. Been in some really difficult pickles, finally was homeless in Minneapolis, Mn. My e re-started in Minneapolis. I was in treatment for Alcohol an other drug abuse for about a year an a half, that was the end of 82 to 84. On May '84 I landed a job with the U.S.Postal Service as a Motor Vehicle Operator (TTO) I drove a truck 18 wheeler; I was a career regular by November of that year, stayed there till 1990. I left the Postal Service and then proceeded to go over the road as a long haul trucker. I have been truckin ever since, I owned and operated five trucks an am now in transition from that to being a company driver. I have been an O/O for Shanno; Eagan, Mn., D/J Transfer; Sherburne, MN., leased to Chilly, New London, MN., Leased to Perkins Transportation; Indianapolis, In., I was a company driver for Tiger Express out of Milltown, WI. I have been all over the country an Canada in a truck an I can say that I could not duplicate this experience out of my wallet, not ever. I really enjoyed my time as a trucker saw allot of different towns met a multiple of people and other driver's, and just plain saw how America works at being America; best History class I have ever attended. I am 52 today will be 53 in April 11 '06 and I am sort of winding down. Kind of tired of traffic looking for an office position, maybe work at home off the internet. LOL, LOL!!! I have been married twice I have a daughter an a step daughter from the first marriage. That lasted for bout 7 years, packed my bags then married again in 95 that lasted for 5 yrs no kids there; been single since that time but am living with my present day girl friend, maybe will give it another shot, she is allot better than the 2 previous, no doubt! We live in Cambridge, MN north of the Twin Cities 93 miles approx.in a log/cedar home an are looking to move to Grantsburg, Wi. that is bout 9 hrs 45 mins from Kenosha;another log home a bit smaller than the one we are in now. Our kids are grown up and I have 3 grand children, Lynn Marie has a son whom is married but no rug rats as of yet. We have two mutts a Shitszu named Sadie Mae, and a Pomerinian, Poodle, Pekinese mix named Molly, she is quite the peanut! I recently, like some months ago was e-mailing Rob Hansen our class of 72 President, but then we just stopped, go figure! But if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't be writing this bio. My hat is off to the Commander three cheers! Enough Said.

I have been married to Cliff for 33 years. We have 3 children. Robert 31, Rachael 28 and Rebecca 19. We also have 4 beautiful grandchildren so far... 2 boys and 2 girls. I went to work at the Motors after school at age 18. With all the lay-offs I went back to school and became a Certified Medical Asistant. Well 5 years later I was called back to the plant! I became the UAW Trainer for Product Quality Improvement an appointed position out of Detroit. In May of 2004 I retired after 31 years of seniority. I decided to challenge myself and went back to work at Aurora for Dr. A.J. Cappelli. My husband said enough and after a year of that I retired again. We live on a 20 ac. parcel and are putting in a vinyard on the Garden Penninsula in the UP of MI. We have a boat we cruise Lake Mi. with and I sing in the church choir and belong to the historical society. I would love to hear from old friends. Becky Netzer where are you?

"After high school, did a three year stint in the Army from '74-'77. Came back to Kenosha and went to school in Milwaukee and received a two-year degree in programming. Never did land a job in that field. Did some bar tending and eventually became manager of the old Guttormsen's downtown. Later took a job in Racine as a bar manager at a supper club. In '86 I moved to a small town in northern Georgia named Ringgold. My parents had retired and moved there and I had had enough of K-town. Went back to school to get a degree in Accounting. However, met a lady who was divorced with a 6 year old son. Got married in '89 and so much for school. That marriage ended in '99. My step-son is now 22 and married and living in Atlanta. After my divorce I met and fell in love with a wonderful lady. She also is divorced and has a child from her first marriage. The daughter is now 16 and a sophomore in high school. We have bought a house in a suburb of Chattanooga called Hixson. I work!
k in the offices of an Engineering Company. No...I'm not an engineer, I am office worker. I also work part-time for the Postal Service sitting in front of a computer directing mail electronically. I am a 10 year survivor of a bout with cancer in '93. 10 years is the magical mark for cancer survivors. They say I now have a 99.99999 that my cancer will not return. In October of 2000 I went in for a stress test and ended up having an emergency triple by-pass. Guess there is an angel sitting on my shoulder. I do miss K-town at times, but I am truly home now. I was at the 25 year reunion and have been back to Kenosha one other time since then back in '98. I have noticed that we have lost a lot of our classmates. Does anyone have a complete list of those that have moved on? So....that's it in a nutshell. "Hi" to everyone. P.S. Congratulations Carol!!

"I moved to Miami, FL in 1978. I am a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. I am the very proud father of two beautiful girls. Melissa is 20 and will graduate from Appalachian State University (N. Carolina) in December with a degree in Applied Mathematics. Nicole is 17 and will graduate from high school in June, 2003 and has not yet decided on a college."Mary Schuch '72
"I am currently (and probably forever) still located in Kenosha. I have worked for the County for 24 yrs.(Which I hope I can say is stable!) I am the mother of three. 2 lovely daughters and a wonderful son. Grandmother of 5 and loving every minute of it! Sad to say but after 23 years of marriage I find myself living the life of a single..although there are no regrets:)!"Jerry Paul MacDonald '72
"I have been married for 27 years. I have three great kiddos, ages 26, 22, and 21. The youngest two are married and we had our first grandchild in 2001. My wife, Pearl, is a clinical therapist at a mental health center here in Las Cruces. I am presently an adjunct paleontologist with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from New Mexico State University and did my doctoral work at the University of Virginia. I had a research appointment at the Smithsonian Institute's Natural History Museum, where I studied under Nicholas Hotton III, from 1987 to 1994. I have made several significant discoveries, one of which brought me to the senate floor in D.C. to testify for the protection of an assemblage of 280 million year old fossil footprints that I had discovered in the mid-1980's. I have major research collections in several museums: Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County; Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh; Smithsonian Institute's Natural History Museum; New Mexico Museum of Natural History; as well as several oversees in Germany, England, Italy, France, China and Japan. You can see me in the July 1992 issue of Smithsonian Magazine, or in a small announcement of my discovery in the Geographica section at the front of the March 1990 issue of National Geographic. I have two books out; one is called "Earth's First Steps: Tracking Life Before the Dinosaurs" (Johnson Books); and another book on cryptozoology called "Behold the Behemoth: The Quest that Solved the Mystery of the Dinosaurs of Job." EFS is out of print in hardcover, but it will probably be released in paperback in the next year or so. "Behemoth" I believe is still available through Amazon.com. I received several national awards for my fossil protection endeavors, and have been nominated for the first-ever "Benjamin Franklin Citizen Science award" for my paleozoic discoveries here in New Mexico. Other nominees include fellow paleontologist John (Jack) Horner of "Jurassic Park" fame, and astronomer David Levy (co-discoverer of the comet that collided with Jupiter). I don't expect to win but what an honor! Jack and I will be giving the keynote speeches at the conference in Philadelphia the end of June, 2002, at the University of Pennsylvania. Shawn Carlson of Scientific American, who is presenting the award, will also be doing a book on the 30 greatest discoveries of the twentieth century found by citizen scientists, and I, along with Jack and David, will be included in it. It will be published by Little, Brown, and Co, and will come out the end of 2003. My house is a museum full of replicas of dinosaurs and other fossils (the real stuff are all in the aforementioned museums). We collect brass animals (have over 1,000 so far), and antiques. I still write poetry, and I am very sad that my creative writing teacher at Tremper, Fern Heoft (sic)is not alive to see her student succeed as an author. I still remember her telling me that she new she would see me succeed as a writer. Perhaps she did and I just am not aware of it. She was the best teacher I ever had."Lu Ann (Kreuscher) Maki '72

"What a year! -- my daughter Breana was in a near fatal car accident her Senior year (class of 2000) and we have had to go through many months of physical and cognitive therapy after months in the hospital. But Breana is a fighter and she is going to college this fall! I am now an adjunct professor for Boise State University as well as part time Gifted/Talented Program Coordinator."Earl Buckelew '72
"I married in '73, then again in '81. I remained in Kenosha, WI up until 1987 when my wife and I moved to Sioux Falls, SD. I came here to work as a Technology Manager for a large midwestern accounting firm. You couldn't tear us away from here we love it so much. But I truly miss all the people I went to high school with. We have two children and 8 grandchildren, all in Sioux Falls. I would love to see a reunion where we all just all sit around talking to each other about experience and the different directions life has led us. I think that would be great."Carol (Weiss) Powell ‘72
"After Tremper A Cappella & Choraliers, I kept right on singing. Sang with the Johnson Wax chorus, Kenosha band “Orphan”, acoustic duo with Jeff Kemen, worship team & soloist at church. I attended UW-Parkside, majored in phy.ed. at Milwaukee, & music at Madison. Got out with a B.A. in Organizational Communication (! ?) Was a bus. rep. for PacBell, travel coordinator for TDS, & Kenosha Foster Parent Recruiter. Married-1977. Divorced-1979. (Duh!) Lived in Steamboat Springs, Reno, San Francisco, L.A., Madison, & recently moved to Marin County, CA. (See ‘Friends Meeting Friends’) In 1995, God graciously changed my heart. Up to that point, nowhere I’d been, no one I’d loved, nothing I’d seen or done had ever given me such contentment & joy. Every day, as I try to put Him first, my life improves. Married 2-3-01, have a godly husband, 2 beautiful step-daughters, a fun church family, a “little sister”, 2 cats, & 3 mice ( ! ) I’m so happy to be home! ><>"Val (Adam) Stuart '72

Check out my fiction at my website: trucap.tripod.com Hope you enjoy! I'd love to hear from anybody from the Class of '72!"

After graduation I went to UW-Eau Claire and graduated in 1977 with a degree in Psychology. There is not a lot one can do with a BA in Psych but it would later help me in life raising 4 stepchildren. Thus I took a few courses at Carthage College and became a certified teacher. I was in demand in the Kenosha area as a substitute teacher. Although my specialties were math and science, I only really enjoyed teaching kids with special needs weather they be physical, mental or behavior. The deaf classroom at Vennon was always my favorite. I never really could handle the discipline aspects of teaching so I went back to college graduating from Parkside in 1983. I had success in the computer field for many years and continue to do so today. I met my wife Laura and my 4 stepchildren while working in Milwaukee. We have been married since 1990. Success in the computer industry often requires relocation and changing jobs. We relocated to Wilkesboro, North Carolina in 1993 and again to Champaign, IL. Although I move around a lot I always leave friends and collect memories.

" I was married for 23 year but sadly things in life change. As many would be mad or say I would never do that again, I would never change anything. Each day has been an adventure and even now I look forward to seeing what life has to offer.. As schools and training has taught me, life has educated me...... I have a beautiful 19 year old daughter who graduated from Tremper in 2001, she is my life, my hope and dreams of the future. I'm still self employed in automotive repair in Kenosha. "I moved to Memphis, TN in 1976. I worked as a staff songwriter and vocalist for Fame Publishing and Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL for 5 years. I worked as a freelance studio vocalist/songwriter in Memphis, Nashville, and
Muscle Shoals until releasing a contemporary Christian solo album in 1985. I spent the next few years traveling the country doing concerts while continuing to freelance in the studios around the mid south (and occasionally in Los Angeles). I am still currently a songwriter/recordingartist but just recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida (the jazz here is GREAT). I'm married to my beautiful wife Sandy and we have one fabulous daughter, Jessica, who graduated from the University of Memphis and is now married. I am also Pastor of Worship at a church here in Sarasota. I'd love to hear from anybody from the great days at Tremper (note, I didn't say
"great OLD days"!!)."Rob Hansen '72 was Class President at Tremper.

"Wow, this is a great site! My fellow band & orchestra friends may remember me dating Andy Davis (French Horn, Class of 1972) - we got married in 1977 & recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary (Who'd have thought I'd marry the first guy I ever dated in my life and that it would last this long?). Anyway, we now live in Verona Wisconsin (just outside Madison). Andy graduated UW-Madison in 1977 and I graduated in 1984 - both of us with Business degrees. I worked for 12 years as an investment officer with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (managing pension money) while Andy established his career as a Senior Financial Advisor & Managing principal at American Express Financial Advisors. We are involved in the drum & bugle corps activity (Andy is Chairman of the Board - Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps Board of Directors) & we've housed young men from Japan, Holland, Thailand, England and USA who come to Madison to march with the world-famous Madison Scouts! We have 2 kids (Nicki-age 10 & Chad-age 7) and are involved in the usual parent-type stuff (dance lessons, hockey, swimming, etc.). We have season tickets to Wisconsin Badger Football (my favorite) and Hockey (Andy's favorite). I think the best vacation was the spur-of-the-moment trip we took to the 1994 Rose Bowl - what a blast! We also spend every fall Sunday afternoon cheering for the Packers (typical cheeseheads). I have so many great memories of my time at Tremper - band, orchestra & choir were the best! I'm so glad to have found this site & hopefully can get in touch with some long-lost friends."Louis Webster '73

"Living in the Bible Belt is strange - the first question people ask is "what church do you go to?" But I love it here - I've become a clog dancer (I *never* danced in high school), a birder (you mean there are more than just robins and non-robins?), and a Unitarian Universalist (no, not a Moonie - that's the Unification church). My favorite movie of late is Contact. It would be good to hear from other members of The George."Barbara (Stollings) Zarletti '73 lives in Walworth , WI and is employed at Chrysler. "After Tremper, I obtained B.A. and J.D. degrees from UW-Madison, a B.A. degree from Butler University and an L. LM. degree from Georgetown. After 4 years in the US Army (Captain, JAGC), I moved from Virginia to Carmel, Indiana, which borders Indianapolis to the North. I spent 12 years in privatepractice, primarily at a 250 attorney law firm in Indy. That is where I met my wife, Tammy, who also happens to be a lawyer, but is still normal. For the last few years, I have been the City Attorney and Deputy Mayor for Carmel, and have helped Tammy raise our three daughters (Elizabeth 8, Carolyn 7, and Katherine 4). I have never stopped calling Wisconsin home, and drag my wife and kids to all the Badger football games in Madison. I am looking forward to our 25th Class Reunion, and think this website is great. Best regards."

I wanted to mention that many of our friends from high school have met every year since 1974 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to play football (many injuries over the years) and then have dinner with friends in the evening. This annual event have been a great opportunity for us to keep in touch and remember the "Good Old Days". Everyone in my family always thought I would become a lwayer, so I headed off to UW-Madison in pursuit of that goal. The love of music wouldn't let me go and I ended up with a music education degree. I took my first job as a choral director in Dodgeville, WI, but tired of the "other" duties of teaching after 5 years. In a wild turn of events, I ended up in the computer field at the Dodgeville headquarters of Lands' End and have been there for the last 22 years. I'm currently managing our team of web developers and loving it. I've been married to my wonderful wife Cindy for the past 28 years and we're living just outside of Dodgeville in a log home we built a few years back. Our children are both grown. Our son, Sean is 26, married, and back a little more than a year from a National guard tour in Iraq. Our daughter, Heather, is 23, and a terrific young woman. We hope to stay in Wisconsin enjoy all this state has to offer.

"From Tremper went to UW Parkside for two years and then due to the expense went into the USMC for four years in Aviation Crash Fire and Rescue. Three years in California and one in Japan. Worked in California as a Trauma Room Technician for two years after the USMC. Decided CA wasnt for me moved back to Wisconsin attended UW Platteville for a BS degree in Mining Engineering. After graduation decided to get back into Fire Protection. Worked as a consultant for three different companies of which the Australian company I worked for was by far the best. I was awarded the chances of a life time to travel all over the world (actually averaged 220 days per year) consulting for fire and property protection. Decided the travel was hard on the family so I took a job at a fully integrated steel mill in Weirton, WV., as a fire protection engineer. I am still here and now the Fire Chief and Fire Protection Engineer for the mill. Family life is great, married for 15 years have a son (9) and a daughter (12). We live in the country and have a farmette about 25 miles from work in Unionport,Ohio.(a very small dot on the map south of Steubenville, OH. I am still into the outdoors, hunting, fishing, raising pheasants, 4H advisor and little league coach."

"Even though I live in ILLinois,,,Im still a Cheesehead!!!"Greg C. Liljestrom '75
After graduation I went to MACT for a semester. School was not for me at the time so it was off to work. I took a job with the wire rope company in Kenosha working with Bobby Shipley and Mike May. One night while sitting at the SunnySide Club, Bobby said that he was going to see the Air Force recruiter. Mike May and I decided to go with him to see what the AF was all about. Ends up that Mike and I enlisted. Mike got out after his first tour and here I am almost 24 years later. I started out on the Gulf Coast of Florida at Hurlburt Field in 1978 as a Nondestructive Inspection Technician (NDI). NDI folks look for structural defects that cannot be seen with the naked eye using test methods such as ultrasound, x-ray, eddy current ect. While there I met my wife Lynn and we got married in 1980. In 1983 we headed to Adana Turkey on a two-year tour. We liked Turkey so much that we stayed for an extra year. While in Turkey my daughter Shannon was born in Dec of 8!
5. She has the privilege of having dual citizen ship (in Turkey only) until she’s 18. In 1986 we moved to Wichita KS where I worked with the B-1 bomber. In 1990 I was selected to fill a position on the Strategic Air Command’s (SAC) Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Team (MSET) located in Omaha Nb. This was a great job for the short time it lasted. SAC was disbanded and 18 months after we got there we were headed to Whiteman AFB in Knobnoster Missouri. I was asked to set up the new NDI Lab for the B-2 bomber. We liked Missouri so much that 3 years to the day after getting there I took an assignment to Misawa Air Base in Northern Japan. Japan was the best assignment we’ve had. I can’t say enough good things about Japan. We planned on staying until I retired when I got a phone call asking if I was available to come back to the states to take my current job as the Field Program Manager for the AF NDI Office. I took the job and we moved to Oklahoma City in Aug o!
f 1999. This job keeps me traveling around the world about 25 weeks a year. The Air Force has truly been an adventure for my family and me. I’ve been able to visit and live in many parts of the world. In a couple of years I’ll have to retire and get a real job.

"I married in 1975, and we moved to Fort Walton Beach Florida in 1976 to be near my parents. In 1980 I divorced my first husband and moved to Mary Esther-Navarre Florida and have been there ever since, this is in the North West Panhandle of Florida famous for the white sand beaches, and also home of Eglin, and Hurlburt Field Air Force Bases, I have 3 children, Kelly 26, Robert 22 and Catherine 12, Robert went thru cancer therapy at age 9 and is now doing well, he has become a chef at one of the major Seafood Restuarants in Panama City Fla. , Kelly has 2 children of her own and is living in Fort Walton Beach also. Catherine is still living at home with myself and my present husband Terry, who works for the City of Fort Walton Beach. With his retirement in a few years we hope to move to the mountains of eastern Tennessee or northern Georgia. I was injured in a work accident in 1997 resulting in permanent disability, not liking sitting home, and doing nothing, I found the world of Animal Rescue on the internet. I am now a board member for Dachshund Rescue of Florida, www.drfl.org a group myself and 3 other people started, we now have members all over the state of Florida, and work with the national rescue groups, we take in unwanted dachshunds from owner turn-ins, cruelty cases, puppymill busts, strays and from kill shelters, place them in foster care for a while then when they are healthy and whole again, place them on our website to find new homes for them, it is a very rewarding experience and I recomend it to any who love animals. There is rescue for almost every breed of dog/cat/horse around, and we move them all (including pot belly pigs & snakes !!!) as I am also a transport coordinator for rescued animals all over the country, we set up runs with volunteers to do the driving, to get dogs that were slated for death, into new and loving homes, (and are always looking for volunteer drivers & foster homes) it is so wonderful to be able to do this from the home and on the computer. I would love to hear from any former class mates that I am not in contact with now, I visited Kenosha last in 1995 and enjoyed seeing the town again throughly my husband had never been to Wisconsin (hes an Alabama boy) and was very impressed. Feel free to write me at mountains@cybertron.com or see our website at www.drfl.org "

I did not stand out above the crowd at Tremper nor the most popular so it will be hard to remember me, but if you think you might, I would love to hear from you."

I do the books for our business and spend a lot of time doing the "mommy thing". We spend a lot of time on our dock and living the country life. They also support music, robotics and Odyssey of the Mind. I guess our kids are nerds! Would love to hear from old friends. "

"After Tremper I went to Moody Bible Institute and American Conservatory of Music and got a bachelor's in music composition. Since you have to be dead to be appreciated, I found work. Then, in 1989 I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up - an Accountant. I started at a local Junior college then transferred to University of Illinois at Circle. Finished a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and got a job at Ernst & Young, the other accounting firm. I've been with them 6.5 years and next year I will finish a master's degree in tax from DePaul University. I got married in 1990 to the cutest man I know! I have a 19.5 year old cat and allergies."Randy Conforti '76

After 26 years in Virginia, we moved back to Kenosha due to a job change for my husband, Phil (who grew up in Milwaukee). We almost forgot how beautiful it is here! We have 2 children who are loving Wisconsin so far. I practised law for 12 years in Virginia, then taught history and English for middle and high schoolers at two private schools. God has blessed! Now we're back, and look forward to new (maybe old!) friends and new opportunities here.Steve Ludke '77
My family moved to IN my junior year. I went to 3 high schools and graduated from Indiana University in 1981. Moved to Houston TX and later to Atlanta GA and recently to Greenville, SC. "Hi class of 77! Sharon (Dorff) Baum here. My life since 77 has been great! I met my hubby through my brother (who graduated a year before me John Dorff) they where roommates in the Airforce. I was writing him my senior year. I met him in person a week after graduation and he asked me to marry him. So Jan of 1978 we tied the knot. 23 years this past Jan.. couldn't be happier.. We have 4 wonderful children, one son Steven age 22 and 3 daughters, Lisa 20, Amberlynn 19, Sarah 19 (looks just like me) Three of them are in college, one lives in KC the others still live with us. My hubby steve was in the airforce for 20 years.. He had been in 2 years when i married him. I have loved the traveling. We have lived in Fl our first base. Then Iceland, AZ, Germany, MS, MI and now MO which I love. I stayed at home to be with the kids. Which I LOVED. I even home schooled them for 2 years. My last one graduates this year. I have had many hobbies over the past 20 years and now I have a business of teaching and designing patterns. We live out in the country and are blessed with a nice home. But the best news since graduating is that age 21 i gave my life to Christ which has made my life complete. I would love to hear from any classmates that remember me. This is a great site and i look forward to visiting it often."

Parkside. Please send me an e-mail. I would love to hear from someone."Sherry Hawkins '77
"After all these years, I still live in Kenosha. I have tried to move away twice, but always seem to come back to where my heart calls home. I have worked in many different fields over the years, but have settled on Real Estate with RE/MAX Showcase of Long Grove, IL for the past 5 1/2 years. It is very challenging at times, but very rewarding. I have met a lot of great people along the way and am very thankful to have them in my life. I wish everyone the best & would love to hear from you sometime. After all, Our 25th Reunion is not too far away. : )"

"Hi. I live in Kenosha and can't imagine living anywhere else. After graduating from Tremper in 77' I attended UW-Parkside and UW-Madison until I met and married John Whitefoot. (not Ron, class of 77') We will celebrate our 20 year anniversary in 2000! During the following years I had 3 wonderful children; Wendy, 15 and a junior at Bradford (boo) (but she is in the choir, yay, and in the color guard of the Band of the BlackWatch-doesthat sound like someone we know??); Danny, 13 and a 8th gr. student at Mckinley Middle (weird that it's not jr. high); and Mallory, 9 and a 4th grader at Strange Elem. I wear many hats these days. I am employed as a part-time Pharmacy Technician at Shopko Pharmacy, where I have spent 6 1/2 years trying to read DR.s scribbles on script pads. I am also a part-time music teacher at St. Mary's Preschool during the school year. And, last, but certainly not least, I have returned to school to finish what I started over 20 years ago. I now attend Carthage College as a part-time student working towards my certification in general music and choral music. I am proud to say I made the Dean's List and I finished an exciting year in the magnificent Carthage College Choir 98-99 Choir. (check out our web site. Yes, I am in the picture.) The choir will tour Europe in 2000, but unfortunately, I'll have to pass on that trip. (my family says they can't make it without me for 3 whole weeks) Boy, what we mothers sacrifice for our families!!! Life is good. I'd love to hear from anyone via e-mail.
Rebecca (Becky) Payne '77
"Hey everyone, My name is Becky Payne, I am a 1977 graduate of Tremper. I only went there for one year, but what a year it was. The Accapella choir went to Dallas for the ACDA convention, great memories. I have moved around a bit since then. I got my Bachelors in vocal music education from Lawrence in Appleton in 1981. I then did food management for 11 years before I landed my first teaching job in of all places, Southern Illinois. I was there doing K-12 music for 3 years (the first was part time) I was then denied tenure (still in denial about that). I moved back to Milwaukee and taught in the Catholic schools for 2 years. In 1997 I gave birth to my son, Jared Michael, (yes without the benefit of being married, but that's a long story). We moved to Quincy, IL when Jared was 6 weeks old because my parents had retired here and mom was willing to take care of him while I worked. I am working in a local daycare here full time. I teach music to the preschoolers and spend the rest of the time in the infant room. I like it, but miss my music classroom, I'm still looking. Jared is a true blessing, he is very sweet and even tempered (even though he just turned 2). He comes to Cheerful Home (the daycare I work in) with me now, and visits with grandma and grandpa and Uncle Kevin almost everyday. Yes, my brother Kevin is here in Quincy, too. It's been a pretty good life, I just wish I could have found a job that I would be in my 18th year in and not have to worry. Hi to all from Tremper, write me."Mickey (Molgaard) Morgan left Tremper at the end of 1977. She lives in Racine, WI. and attends The Church of God, 6412 22nd Ave, Kenosha, WI.
"I am the Youth Leader there and I also teach Sunday School. I have been married for 20 years and have 4 children and 1 granddaughter. I drive school bus in Racine, WI for School Services and Leasing. I have been doing that since 1988."
Sandy (Bougneit) Messer '77 is married with three children ages 17, 14, and 3 1/2. Sandy lives in Brookhaven, PA. and is employed at the First Keystone Federal Savings Bank.
"My goals in high school were to get my college degree, travel, get married and have children. Well, I married a sailor (my dad said that was a no-no), so we've traveled all over the country. I have 3 great kids, my littlest keeps me young and crazier than I was in school ..... :-) and I have taken many college courses, but my goal is still to get my degree. I think I'll probably go when my daughter is in, that way I can keep an eye on her....hahahahaha..(she'll love that)
But seriously, I wouldn't trade a minute with anyone, I've gone through trials and trivia but I've learned alot about myself. More than any one person our age should go through. But I know now I can make it through anything, cuz God doesn't give you more than you can handle!!!!!!!"Sandra (Wegmann ) Trottier '77 lives in Kenosha with her husband Jim. The Trottier's have two boys. Sandra is employed at the Washington Manor Nursing Home.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed creating and maintaining the Tremper Alumni Website since 1998. It's been fun getting reacquainted with friends from Tremper and I've made so many more new friendships. I'm happy to be living in Kenosha again and being close to family. It will be very special to share with our children the special people, places and experiences I grew up with living in Kenosha. We will always keep a little bit of Alaska in our hearts. It was a wonderful adventure!"

Hello to all my old friends from Tremper, especially all those with whom I shared music--A Capella Chorus, Madrigals, Choraliers. I graduated from Illinois State in '83, degree in music, and promptly went into broadcasting. I'm currently in the news department at STARadio Corp. in Quincy, IL, working as reporter, news anchor, air talent, "and other duties as assigned by management". I still sing with our local Muddy River Opera Company, act with the Quincy Community Theater, and am music leader at St. Raphael Orthodox Church in Quincy. I also am still an inveterate reader, writer, and gamer. "Alma mater, dear Tremper High...proudly do your banners fly..."

"Hi everyone, hope this letter finds you all happy and prosperous. I've never left Kenosha mainly because I like it here. In 1980 I met a woman from down south, Mississippi to be precise and we've been together ever since. We've raised two children Gary and Sarah and now have four grandchildren, Brenen, Devyn, Ashlynn and our most recent Connor who just turned 1. For the last 22 years I've been working in the lighting industry as an application engineer. Who would of thought that was possible!
But you'll be glad to know that I've got Led Zepplin II in my car's CD player, somethings never change."Jennifer (Norstrom) Silbert '78
"It's a treat to have the chance to catch up with old classmates by reading the postings on this site. I moved away from Kenosha shortly after graduating and look forward to our next reunion. After spending 8 years in Army counterintelligence, I got a job in Washington, DC as a defense contractor and quit after 12 more years when I got married and had my first child. I now have two boys and live in a small Civil War town in western Maryland called Sharpsburg. I homeschool my two boys, Henry (5) and Sam (3) and do some freelance writing. I've spent the past 4 years volunteering as a child advocate for abused and neglected kids. Since Sept 11, 2001 my outlook on life has changed. LIfe is short. I want to spend what time I have making a difference - for my family and my community. Would love to hear from anyone interested in catching up."

"I think often of the friends and acquaintances I made during my school years in Kenosha and want to wish them all the best. I consider myself to be very fortunate in life as I have been able to pursue a great many of my dreams since graduation. I married back when and am currently raising my two beautiful daughters, Stacy - 17 and Madilyne - 15. We live in Appleton, WI where I work for the Appleton Area School District as a Library-Media Speicalist. I call this my "mid-life crisis career" as I left Kenosha at the age of 35 to attend the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a library minor. I pressed on full-time and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Prior to that, I worked in a couple different areas including that of the fire/medic service. I hold state certifications as a firefighter and paramedic. I now dedicate myself to my career, family, and my hobbies, which include reading (of course), flower gardening, and traveling. The marriage thing never worked out, but I couldn't be happier than I am today. Being forty is fabulous! "

"A lot has changed since my last update:"I was a landlord, as I bought and sold houses in and around Milwaukee; moved to Florida in 1989. I've lived and taught in 2 different places in Florida, had a son in July 1990; was hit by Hurricane Andrew in August 1992; returned to U.W.S.P. in 1993 and earned certification for teaching Special Education; taught in Steven's Point and Wausau; moved to Everett, WA, a little north of Seattle, taught as a Library/Media Specialist and Technology instructor; married Donald B. Anderson from New York in Feb. 1997; had a baby girl in April 1998; husband made a career change in November 1998 so we moved to the Boston area; I'm presently a stay-at-home mom."
Now (12/05) I had a boy in Oct. 2000, and then got divorced nearly 2 years later. I returned to teaching and am a Special Ed. teacher (Learning Disabilities) in a middle school. My older son is nearly 16, doing very well in school, lettered in Cross Country, and is eying Stanford. My daughter is in a gifted 2nd grade and quite the drama princess. My youngest will begin kindergarten fall of '06. I recently married a wonderful Marine (when I met him, he was the VP of the school I teach at). He is leaving for his 3rd deployment to Iraq, coming in Feb. '06. Once he is home, and my oldest graduates from HS, then we might make a big move and start our new life together in some other state. "After graduating, I attended UW-Parkside for one year before I was sidetracked by romance and moved to Houston to be with my now-husband, Kelly. Since then, we have moved from Houston (5 years) to suburban Washington, DC (7 years) to Fort Wayne, IN (1.5 years) to Minneapolis on NASA and other military/aerospace contracts. In that time, in the way of all wannabe novelists, I've held a slew of temporary and permanent jobs (one of the last one being as interim Executive Assistant to the medical director of Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne). I'm also in contention for the longest running bachelor's degree program, as I've attended four colleges, accrued three minors, and am still 30-40 credits away from graduating. Children are still somewhere in the near future plan (we hope), though an end to our engineering contractor gypsy existence is a prerequisite (and the primary reason I'm going back to finish my degree)! Well...I wish I still lived in Kenosha - I miss the good times and good friends...but Colorado Springs, Colorado does have its perks. I have made a home for my wife and 2 kids just outside the city limits in a little place called Fountain, Colorado. I am a Lieutenant (Watch Commander) with the local police department and spend every waking hour either beefing up the homestead, on the job, or in the class room further my education. Two Associates and One Bachelors apparently isn't enough for me. If there are any of those die hard Track and Cross Country Running Fanatics out there I would love to here from you. For that fact I would love to hear for anyone that wants to reminisce.

"I don't know how I got here. I was only trying to find info on the 20th reunion (planning ahead). For those who wonder why I haven't appeared at the Rotary Tourney...Denver, Co is the latest stop on the tour of life. Since '85 I attended UWP in K-town then escaped to UW Stout during two stints for a BS and MS and use neither! Since 01/1990 I have called 7 different states home in 3 time zones. WOW, how time has flown past. Can you believe our music is now called classic tunes? Enjoy life and if you have the time drop a line...."

"Since high school, Perry has been keeping busy in the music industry playing in various bands such as Fast Lane, Midnight Express, Bigshot, Switch, Still Crazy and Die Monster Die. In 2000, he opened up for Sammy Kershaw, Sawyer Brown and The Charlie Daniels Band. Perry had a bad car accident in 1989, which has left him handicapped and caused serious health problems over the years. After serious complications, he retired from music in 2002 to spend the rest of his life as a devoted father to his two children, David and Ashley. He even works in the Youth Ministry at his church. (Yes, Perry Claeys). Did you know Perry drives a hearse just for fun? He even has a hearse club! Visit his website at www.gravesights.org - He loves hearing from old school mates, male or female...so drop him a line. (He apologizes for being a jerk back then...hahaha!)"Kimberly Barskaitiki '85
"I am now working at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, the 11th largest law firm in the U.S. I work for a really cool attorney in trademarks. After Tremper, I went to UWP for 2 years, and then to UW Milwaukee. I studied linguistics and French, and then I earned an M.A. in linguistics and French in 1992 from West Virginia University. I lived for a short time in New Jersey in 1990-1991 and worked in New York City for a couple of months. In 1992 I returned to Milwaukee, but couldn't make it on 2 part time jobs and going to school in the evening. I lived in Kenosha again from 1993-1996. Then I got a job in Milwaukee and lived on the East Side until 2000 when I bought a condominium in Milwaukee where I now live with my 3 cats. I earned a master's degree in library science from UWM in 1999, but I'm not working as a librarian. For fun I teach sailing for the UWM sailing club and I go horseback riding in Grafton. It's amazing to think it's been 16 years since Tremper! It doesn't seem like it! My teachers at Tremper were better than my teachers in college. I learned more and worked harder in high school. I didn't have to work very hard at my undergrad or second master's degree.
I hope everyone in classes of 1985 and 1984 are well - write me."
Mike Piehl '85

Hello Everyone: After graduation, I moved to sunny South Florida. Enjoying my early twenties, I stayed there until 1992, when I came home to Kenosha for a few months, for my father had past away. Then back to Florida I went. I attending the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, receiving my AS in Media Communication. I worked on several movies and commercials that were shot down here. During this time I met my husband, Jason. Unfortunatley soon before my wedding, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. My husband and I moved back to Kensoha, where I cared for her until her passing in 2000. At which time I saw many of you. (Thank you for your kind words.) I then also got seperated. But better times were ahead. I moved to the beautiful world of Lexington Ky. for two years and received my BA in Equine Business Management. I am currently back in South Florida, working with some of the best horses and trainers. I compete, and train, and love EVERY MINUTE of it. It is my "little girls" dream come true. I have a wonderful boyfriend, whom has taught me the joy of boating, and I have taught him the passion of horses. We live on three acres, with our dogs, and my horses. I plan on purchasing land back in Ky, and hope continue to breed and train. Even with lifes up and downs, I believe God has a plan for me. And HE's not "quite" finished with me yet. And I know my parents are my Guardian Angels watching over me everyday. I hope to see you soon at the reunion. May God Bless you all.

"I joined the Air Force right after graduation. I have been stationed in Illinois, Alaska, Arizona, Iceland, and currently in San Antonio, Texas. I have also been to Kosovo, Azores, Bosnia, and Macedonia. I am currently a radio and television broadcaster and am in charge of the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service Radio Department. I have been married to the worlds most wonderful woman, Sandra, for 10 years. God has graced us with a precious daughter, Taylor, who is 9. We have also opened our house to the unloved animals in the world, taking in 5 cats and 1 dog. We plan to retire from the Air Force in 2007 at the ripe old age of 37. We haven't decided where we will retire, but God seems to be pointing us to Knoxville, TN, back to old Kenosha, or right here in San Antone. More than likely, most of you won't remember me, since I was very quiet and kept to myself. I was however involved in the Drama Club, Key Club, and the editor of the Tempest. Hope we have a reunion some day just to see where everybody has been and what they have done since high school. God Bless."John Gonzales '87

"After graduating from Tremper, I slummed (sometimes pretty literally) around Parkside for 5 years while picking up a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Crime and Delinquency. Since then I've had a wide range of jobs both within and outside of my "field". (Let's see, School bus driver, substitute teacher for KUSD, mailroom assistant, Job Coach for the Developmentally Disabled, McDonald's manager, gas station attendant, do I really need to go on?) I enrolled at UW-Whitewater in 1998 or so with the idea of picking up a degrees in History in Secondary Education. After two-years of that, I quit and got a job as a writer. I now write for the magazine Equipment Today. It's a trade magazine for contractors in the commercial construction industry. I get to write about such scintillating topics as "Care and feeding of hydraulic fluids" and "How to best choose a used horizontal directional drilling unit." While I can't say that I knew much, if anything, about the industry before joining, I have been allowed to operate a 20-ton excavator at Caterpillar's Peoria HQ and have been flown to England to watch the start of a Round-the-world sailing race. I spend my free time trying to get freelance writing jobs in the game industry. Living in Whitewater has taught me that there are places that better resemble the "armpit of Wisconsin" than the Kenosha - Racine area. Whitewater is full of drunk red necks and college students, but very lacking in quality Italian dining and any kind of 24-hour restaurant. I sorely miss the Spot, Frank's Diner, Ruffalo's, the Sunshine Restaurant, Felicia's, Marina Gardens, Paielli's and many other Kenosha eateries"
Chris Wingate '89
"After graduation I attended UW-LaCrosse, graduated from there in 1993 with a degree in Sociology. I spent 2 years after college as a Hall Director at the University of Akron (OHIO) and then moved back to Wisconsin to work for the Girl Scouts of Racine. In 1997 I met the love of my life (Tony) and we moved to Michigan to pursue a job change for Tony (he is a commercial pilot). We welcomed our son into this world in January (Douglas) and I am enjoying every minute with him. I work as the Director of Parks and Recreation for a small town outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Life if Good!"
Kristen (Schnabel) Kief '89
"After graduation I moved to Phoenix, Arizona and attended Arizona State University for two years. In 1991 I moved to Milwaukee and finished my degree at UW-Milwaukee. In 1993 I married Tom Kief (from Burlington, WI.) and we lived in Burlinton. I worked in Sales and Tom did the morning show at the Kenosha Radio Station, WIIL. In 1995 our son, Jake was born. Tom got hired to do a morning radio show in Albany, NY and we moved there in 1997. We loved it on the East coast. I got to stay home with Jake and in 1999, our second son, Sam was born. Those of you who were at the reunion might remember me being extremely pregnant with Sam at the time. Soon after that, the station Tom worked for was bought out and he got an offer to come back to WIIL. So, in June of 2000 we moved back to Wisconsin. Tom is doing morning's at 95 WIIL Rock (listen from 5-10am M-F!), Jake started Kindergarten, and Sam and I just stay home and play."

After the classroom phase I went to Idaho for the hands on training of a nuclear power plant. Upon completion of training I was stationed on the Nuclear powered cruisers U.S.S. After graduation I attended UW-Parkside for a few years on a softball scholarship. After I figured out what I wanted to do I attended Columbia College in Chicago and studied sound engineering. After college I worked a "corporate america" type job and was just waiting for the day to work in music. I'm happy to say now that I am a professional musician playing drums in a band called Skillet. It's been awesome!! I joined the band in 1999. We're on Atlantic Records and we were even nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004. I send Mr. Covelli our new albums all the time....we have 7 total! I think he gets a kick out of it! Hey....he's a great teacher. For more info on the band check out our site: www.skillet.com Tons of pics, videos, and other cool stuff. Wow...high school seems so long ago.... Bye for now!

"I went to Parkside for three semesters and then moved to Madison. I now live in sunny southern California with my husband and two sons. I stay home with my guys and home school my six year old. My baby has spent a large portion of his life in the hospital and it has me considering nursing school. I have recently started a support group for families of special needs children. I would love to hear from other Tremper alumni!"

"I attended Parkside for a couple of years and decided it wasn't my thing. Then I became a day care teacher at the Navy base in Illinois. I met my future husband at the base. His name is Randy and he is in the Navy. I have a beautiful 9 year old step daughter, her name is Charlotte. We have been
married now for 6 years. We moved to Italy for 2 years right after we married and then to Florida for 3 1/2 years. We are now back in Italy. I love to travel!"Jennifer (Jessen) Greidanus 91'
"Wow!! It sure seems like yesterday when I first walked through the doors of Tremper High, now we are facing our ten year reunion already!! The last ten years have been pretty eventful for me and I have managed to keep very busy. My son Mikey was born August 28, 1993 and he truly has been the joy of my life. I married my wonderful husband on August 21, 1999 and I have to say that married life has been the best experience and I look forward to the many years to come. Now, my second son Andrew was born on January 25, 2001 and I am totally content on being a Mommy for now. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion on the 25th and hope all of you are doing well!!"Michael Kaddatz '91
"I attended Carthage College where the only good thing to come out of that adventure was finding my future wife. I joined the army shortly thereafter. The army took me to Korea and Georgia. While in Georgia, I was granted permission from the post commander to try out for the Augusta Seminals of the South Atlantic Semi-pro Football League. I made the team as a kicker. I was named Rookie of the Year in 1998 and made the Pro-bowl Team. It is hard to raise a family on the wages I was making so we moved out west where I applied to the Phoenix Police Department. I have been a Police Officer now for three years. I have been married for eight years and have two children. Drop me a line. "Betty (Bustle) Gould '91
Well I am proud to say that I just had my first baby last January. He is the apple of my eye. I joined the the Air Force straight out of high school and have really enjoyed the ride. (only 5 more years to retirement!) My wife and I have been together over 13 years and we have three beautiful children. We own property in England that allowed me to get into farming on the side. I currently grow American sweetcorn, which sells really good over there! I live in Greece right now, but will be going back to the UK in 2008. It's nice to see how everyone's doing.
Donald Wruck '92
Hey there everyone! Would love to hear from old friends at dwruck@wp-law.com. Since '92, I started a law firm that now has offices in Chicago, Indiana, and Michigan. In spring 2007, I am appearing in the reality series MTV Juvies, so check it out. Onward and upward! P.S. Brian K. - drop me a line.

I've been in the Air Force nearly 14 years straight out of high school and have really enjoyed the ride. (only six more years to retirement!) I met my English wife 11 years ago and we have three children. We still live in England and we bought a "spread" that allowed me to get into farming on the side. I currently grow American sweetcorn, which sells really good over here! It's nice to see how everyone's doing.

"After graduation, I went to Parkside and got my degree in Anthropology. Butmost importantly, I continued my friendships with the gang - and you know who you are. I spent several summers working on archaeological
digs in Alaska until I finally committed to something. Well, I have to be honest... I was partly influenced by finding a very specialsomeone who shared my love for the outdoors, archaeology, and Alaska. That was 1996, and we still live here. Both of us are finishing our masters degrees and working hard. I wasn't sure how I felt about having to miss the reunion, but I gotta say now that I wish I could have been there. Thanks Alex Szele for hooking me up with this web site, though."Marri Stanhibel-Schmidt '92
" I married my high school sweetheart, Wilmar (Bill) Schmidt (Class of 1992). We were married Jan. 6, 1996. We bought a home in Kenosha that year. We moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1998 where we own and operate our own mortgage company. We have two dogs and a home in the mountains, 3500ft above sea level. We are glad to be out of the cold and will reside in NV for years to come."
Trisha (Williams) Philippe '92
"Hi everybody! Since graduating Tremper I went to college in Long Beach, CA. I didn't really want to live there, so I moved back to Kenosha. I worked in clerical jobs for the next 5 years, then (out of the total blue) decided to go into the Army at 26! I served 2 years in Texas. I met my husband Adam, who was also in the Army. We are both out of the Army now. No children, yet, but we're praying. I would like to hear from anybody from my class, and find out how you are all doing. It's weird to see all the name changes. Take care!"Michael Braunshausen '92
"My life has been full of twists and turns since my years at Tremper. However, all things considered, it's been good. I went to Carthage for 1 semester, before realizing I couldn't afford it anymore, so I went to UW Parkside, where I eventually flunked out. School just wasn't for me. I then went through a series of so-so jobs, sliding through my life until I started working for Target in Racine. This led me to transfer to Illinois (Waukegan) where I lived with a good friend of mine, named Lara until she got married. I then moved back to Kenosha, where I stayed until I started learning things about myself through the internet. One of these things led me to find my life partner of (almost) 4 years Kyle. I'm currently a Pharmacy Technician for Osco Drug #5383 in Lafayette, Indiana. If anyone from the Class of '92 remembers me, and wants to talk of times past, write me! I hope to meet many of you again, or, perhaps, for the first time at the reunion."Michelle Montes '92
"Since high school I have gone on to recieve two degrees. My first was an associates in Horticulture. My second was a Bachelors in Sociology. I have a job as a probation and parole agent in Kenosha. Right now I'm not working there, I'm a Security Forces member in the Air National Guard out of Milwaukee that has been called to active duty. That has kept me VERY busy in the last several months, I just got home from Afghanistan last week. I was one of the first Guard units "over there", and one of the first female service members too!! I'm home for the time being but expect to be called out again in a few months. Drop me a line!!!"
Bridget Montemurro Bennet '92
"Since graduation in 92 I moved to California. Never really feeling like it was home, I decided on moving back to Kenosha. Since I have been back, I have gotten married to David Bennett. We have one daughter, Lexie Nicole, and another child due in June 2002. I took on a job at CTX Mortgage Company as a loan officer. I have since seen and heard from some classmates. I would love to hear from some of those friends that I lost touch with!!"
Marc Kaddatz '92
"I attended Carthage College at first, I then went on to UW Parkside (Tremper North). I decided that I personally didn't know what I wanted to do in life so I joined the U.S. Air Force. So far the life of the military has treated me very well. I was stationed at McConnell AFB, Kansas where I met my wonderful wife. Six months after we married we were off to the beautiful Island of Okinawa Japan. While there we had two wonderful children while being there for 4 years. We have one daughter and one son. Currently, I'm stationed at Altus AFB, Oklahoma where I am studying to be a Lawyer. While being in the Air Force I have had a wonderful pleasure to see the world. There is only 1 continent I have not been to and hope I will never have to go there because it is just one big ICE LAND MASS!! Drop me a line if you would like to know what other countries are like. Just remember one thing "You don't know what you have until it is gone"

As of now, our youngest daughter is four-months-old. She is a happy baby and loves to smile and "talk." We are so blessed. Her sister, Sylvia, who is 2, loves being a big sister and helps us out a lot.
I am still a stay-at-home mother, a job I never imagined I would be doing but it is perfect for me! I love it and it is a wonderful feeling to watch our daughters grow and discover the world around them.
I still dabble in writing as a freelance writer for The Post-Crescent and Gannett Wisconsin's niche magazines like Fox Cities Family and Panache. It is great to be able to keep up with my writing while working from home.
We still live in the Fox Cities but plan to move into Winnebago County in the near future to be closer to Chris's work. Otherwise, life is great. We have been blessed in many ways since we moved back here in 2003. We have made many new friends and have found a wonderful church with many opportunities to grow in Christ.
I hope everyone is doing well! Take care and God bless!

Tis the yellow sunbird guy.
Well kids for those of you that don't know what happened to me. I graduated in 1996 and then in August of that year I packed my bags and all my belongings into my 87 Plymouth Horizon and took off to the big city of Hancock MI, and yes I've heard all the jokes. For college, and spent four long years there tring to figure out what I wanted to do. Then it finally hit me to get a Degree in Business Admin. Upon graduating in 2000 I moved back to Kenosha, where I have been since. I currently work as a CSR at Caremark Speciality Pharm down in Lincolnshire IL, and have been there for a year and a half, just waiting to move into an H/R position. As for the last year and a half I've actually spent dating this great guy and were looking at buying a house with in the next couple of months. Thats right kids I've finally admitted that I'm gay, and couldn't be happier. The parents are still tring to deal with it, but hey thats their problem not mine. For anyone in the Rocking class of 96 that wants to contact me my e-mail is jimmiejim2000@yahoo.com or my cell is 262-412-4137, Peace out.

“I’m still in the Navy and stationed in Yokosuka, Japan again, this time on USS Lassen (DDG-82) . I’m still married to Sara, going on our 11th year now! Our family is consistently growing bigger. Brannon, Daryl and Evan are expecting a baby brother/sister around October 25th, 2008. We are hoping for the elusive little girl. All three boys go to Japanese public school and are fluent in reading, writing and speaking Japanese! Sara is also fluent in reading, writing and speaking Japanese! I speak enough to be dangerous and can read enough to get by, that’s about it. I only get to see the family about 85 days a year so it’s pretty rough. We anticipate staying in Japan till I retire out of the Navy in 2016 and then retiring here permanently. We enjoy hosting visitors from the states and exposing them to the Japanese culture. There’s nothing funnier than watching a gaijin (foreigner) eat natto (fermenting soybeans) for the first time. Ok, we’re evil but it’s a small price to pay for all the fun stuff we show our guests. Highschool... let me try to think back that far. Well... not too far after I turned 18, I met what is now my husband of 4 years (though I call it 8, considering). We lived in Kenosha for a year and finally headed out to sunny Southern California to spend some time recovering from a life spent in a climate with sweltering humidity in the summers and the pain of subzero temperatures in the winter. Finally, we have ventured back to the midwest, and are living close to friends and family in the Twin Cities. I'm finally ready to reconnect with old friends. Send me a message! rebeccaklarson@yahoo.com
Katie (Houghton) Alvirez '98
I only went to Tremper for one year, but I made some of my closest friends in that short time. I ended up moving to Madison and graduated from Middleton HS in 1998, but very much wishing I would have walked across the stage with my friends from Tremper. I travelled around the country, living in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Milwaukee, and finally settling down in Washington, DC to go to school for a while where I met my husband Christian. We moved back to Milwaukee in 2002. We have a beautiful little girl named Emily, born in 2003, and we were married in Cross Plains, WI in 2004. I'm currently running an in-home day care center while finishing up my Early Childhood degree. I live in Milwaukee but visit K-town when I get the chance and would love to hear from any of my old friends.Katie Lawlor '98
