Sean K. Holland '86



 
 

Sean K. Holland passed away  after a brief battle with cancer, on Friday, January 11, 2002 at Kenosha Hospital and MedicalCenter.  Sean was born on September 6, 1968 in Kenosha, WI.  His parents are John T. and Carol R. (Merzlicker) Holladn.  Sean attended St. Mark's, St. Mary's and Jeffrey Elementary Schools.  He also attended Lance Jr. High School and was a 1986 graduate of Tremper.   Sean received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1990.

Sean was attending Gateway Technical College at the time of his death. He was enrolled in the technical electronics associate degree program. He was co-founder and officer of the economics club when he was at UW-Stevens Point. Sean worked at Snap-on Parts Distribution Center during his summer days at college. He was then employed with Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago, Ill., and briefly at Man-U-Tronics in Pleasant Prairie. He was a parishioner of St. Mary`s Catholic Church. His enjoyed  hunting, fishing and downhill skiing, and he and his family had fun building their vacation home in northern Wisconsin. Surviving are his parents, of Kenosha; a sister, Deborah L. (Steven) Scherer of Milwaukee; and a brother, Brian T. (Stephanie) of Chicago. His  maternal  grandparents Frank and Rose Merzlicker, and his  paternal grandparents, Edmund and Louise Holland preceded him in death. .
