I was very lucky in knowing Dave after high school. We worked at the Kenosha Sears store along with other Tremper alumni. He was a funny, caring friend anyone could have. All of us who worked at Sears had hung out and did things together until he moved to Phoenix, AZ. I did go out to see Dave back in 1985 as well as Kurt Petri. I have wonderful memories of our fun times we had.
On a funny note, to all that had their cars tuned up while Dave and I worked at Sears, if we would both get our cars tuned up at the same time we would take them out by Lance and race each other to see who did a better job... he always beat me,,, so I got 6 cly Gremlins what an I say?!!!
Please remember the fun and good times you have had with Dave or anyone you have lost in the past,,, that's what should be remembered...
My prayers to Dave and his family and all who knew and loved him.

Joe Romano called me last evening to let me know that Dave Becker
passed away yesterday around 11 am at his home in Phoenix. His past
few months had been very difficult as the cancer spread throughout a
large portion of his body.Dave has given his body to medicine for study. Details of any type
of memorial service have not been finalized. Pass this along to
anyone who might remember Dave and say a prayer for him.Peter Sarin Class of 72
So sorry to hear - I remember Dave and I were in Kindergarten through 3rd grade together at Roosevelt (along with Jim S and Dave T, if I recall!).
My deepest sympathies to his family.

I'm very sad to hear of Dave's passing. While we lost touch after he moved to Arizona some of my fond memories of Dave during High School and at Parkside include: Double dating in his "49" Bathtub Nash. Bleach burn-out in front of Tremper after school. Installing many pressure plates, clutches and throw-out bearings in the Scambler, Gremlin and other assortment of Ramblers including my Javelin. Road trips to Twin Lakes to boat. Listening to rock music and attending many concerts in Milwaukee. His first Harley and working at Sears in Racine. Partying at his parent's house on the weekends.
My prayers to Dave, his Mother, Sister and all his friends. He will certainly be missed.

I remember vividly memories of Dave in alot of my classes at Tremper. Dave, Laura Kivi and I did alot of fooling around in Mr. Wilson's geometry class. Once Dave got this answer wrong on a geometry test on purpose.
Who was the father of geometry? Euclid or Frank Gott. Dave picked me. The world is a poorer place without him. Pray for him and for strength to those close to him.
